I’m writing this from my flat in East London, coffee cold, Python script running in the background. Two years ago, I watched a 985 grad cry over her IB offer—\(7k salary reduced to \)5k after bonuses. She didn’t quit finance because she was fired. She quit because she realized: no one was coming to her.

Web3 doesn’t recruit. It notices.

The data is clear: 82% of new entrants come from elite schools—but less than 12% land jobs. Why? Because hiring is broken. No HR departments. No LinkedIn posts. Just Discord threads, Telegram DMs, and founders who read your GitHub commits before they read your CV.

I interviewed a Bitget recruiter last week. She said: ‘We don’t hire degrees. We hire curiosity.’

You don’t need CFA or Solidity mastery to start. You need to write one comment on a DeFi project thread. To join a Hackathon as an observer. To reply with logic—not emojis—to someone who just shipped a smart contract.

That’s how you become visible.

The myth isn’t that Web3 is full of experts. The truth is it’s full of people who dared to begin before they were ready.

I know a trader turned content creator—zero coding skills—who now runs a newsletter with 12k followers because she posted three thoughtful threads about MEV exploits in November last year.

Web3 rewards those who speak first—and quietly—in rooms where no one else did.

Your resume won’t get found. But your thought might.

Start by doing something small, daily, in public.

Ang Web3 ay parang crush mo na hindi ka pa rin sumasali… Naghihintay ka sa bull market habang ang iba’y nag-aaral ng CFA sa kahoy! Hindi mo kailangan ng degree — kailangan mo lang ng pag-iisip na may malaking puso. Ang HR? Wala. Ang LinkedIn? Walang post. Pero may isang tao na nag-DM sa Telegram: ‘Sino ba talaga ang nakakita ng pattern?’ 😅 Pano ka makakasali? Lagay mo na lang ang code… at sana ay may coffee.
